Nearly 60 percent of bullying situations end when a peer intervenes. That is why this year’s theme for National Bullying Prevention Month is:The End of Bullying Begins with Me. Recognized in communities, schools, and organizations throughout the U.S., the month-long observance seeks to raise awareness of the devastating effects bullying has on young people. Educator’s toolkit and activities, free bookmarks, informational handouts, videos, and information about the Choose Orange campaign, as well as the WE WILL Generation Student movement, are available from
National Bullying Prevention Center (www.pacer.org).
