The Office of Catholic Youth Ministry invites you to participate in the 2016 Diocese of Providence youth ministry awards by nominating a young person or adult who exemplifies the values of Christian service and leadership through his or her commitment to youth ministry.
Please consider nominating those among your school, parish, or diocesan communities who have made a difference in the lives of youth for one of the following awards as recognition of their commitment and service.
The St. Timothy Award is a national award given annually to outstanding high school juniors and seniors who work zealously to improve their own parish ministry programs, high school ministry teams or youth ministry within the Diocese of Providence. This award sponsored by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, is the highest honor any diocese may bestow on youth. The Companions on the Journey Award is the highest adult recognition sponosred by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry. It is given annually in the Diocese of Providence to Catholic adults who have been active members in the parish, school, and/or diocesan activities for youth for at least ten years. This group of 10 young people and their chaperones from St. Philip Youth Ministry and St. Agatha Parish left TF Green Airport yesterday to represent the Diocese of Providence at the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianopolis.
